We have provided some basic information about these changes
below. If you would like any further assistance please

and we will do our best to help you.
There is a shortage of ISBNs in some countries and therefore
a need to standardise the product identifier across different
types of products and around the world.
By 1 January 2007 all trading partners are expected to
be ISBN-13 compliant.
ISBN-13 will replace ISBN-10 as the identifier used in
trading.
This will bring it in line with the 13-digit European
Article Number (EAN) used throughout the world to identify
products in other retail and wholesale channels. (The
EAN identifier is the non-hyphenated 13-digit number shown
on the bar code.)
We will continue to recognise orders placed with ISBN-10,
but new books (after January 2007) will only have ISBN-13.
All books published from 2006 will be listed in catalogues
with ISBN-13 and ISBN-10.You can place your order using
either of these ISBNs.
This is a global change, which will have an impact on
every segment of book publishing, retailing, and distribution.
